Getting to Know You Friday blog Hop

Photobucket

What’s the one thing that surprised you most about being a parent?

I really had to think about this question for some time. When my first son was born I found out I would do just about anything for my children. My house, friends and work came in second to the needs of my children. You learn to leave the house work until later and just play the afternoon away with your children. Realizing they grow up so fast and will move away before you know it.

  1. I too put my Daughter first. Now that she is grown and has kids of her own, she appreciates the things I did for her.

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  2. You really do put everything behind the needs of your children don't you? It just comes naturally.

I think I was most surprised by the lack of sleep, lol!

  5. I just love your answer. It's so true, being a parent takes precedence over everything. You would think it would come naturally to all parents but sadly this don't appear to be the case with everyone.

  6. I know this feeling all too well. I stayed at home with my daughter for 3 months when she was almost 2 and most days it would be 2 p.m. and I hadn't eaten or showered because I was taking care of her needs. LOL
