We had an awesome Easter. Both of my grandsons got to color eggs. We used crushed blue berries, crushed rasberries and grape juice for the boys to dip their eggs in.
Since it was grape juice Little Bug had to do a taste test.
I wanted a third color so I boiled a few eggs in onion skins.
The blue berries did the best followed by the onion skins. The grape juice eggs color seemed to rub off a little.
Little Bug loves finding eggs.
Pooh Bear had a blast finding eggs.
I never thought to dye eggs like that Great idea and your grand kids are precious.

Natural dyes! I love the idea and the colors turned out beautifully. Thanks for the idea, I will have to remember this for next year.
ReplyDeleteI have thought of using natural things to make dyes for all sorts of things, including eggs! Thank you so much for the great ideas. I kind of knew about grape juice but I'm glad you told us that it rubs off easily. I would never have thought of the onion skins though! Great post, thanks again!!
