To my delight Two Little Hands Productions has recently released the entire award winning Signing Time digital library. I have been given the opportunity to review a digital video of my choice. My grandchildren already have Series 1 volume 1 My First Signs and volume 2 Playtime Signs. I looked over the large selection of videos and had a hard time making a choice. I thought about selecting volume 7 Leah's Farm or volume 9 The Zoo Train. In the end I decided to be practical and select volume 3 Everyday Signs.
First off I want to tell you a little about the digital player that I downloaded right from their web site. Leaping Brain Labs is the developer of this digital media platform called MOD Machine. The MOD Machine is used to distribute videos similar to the way itunes does for music and Kindle does for books. I have an older computer this made me a little wary of downloading something that might make it run slower than it already does. I was also worried about how hard it would be to download the videos onto the player. Well to my surprise the player was easy and quick to download. My computer seems to have no problem running the player. After my purchase I downloaded the player and then selected refresh my purchased videos showed in a list. I selected each one to be downloaded into the player. In less then five minutes I was able to play my video. One of the most important aspects of the digital library is when you purchase a video you can take it any where you want and play it anytime. No internet connection needed. It can be shared on your iPhone, iPad or computer.
Now on to the digital videos. I just love this video! Signing Time Every Day Signs is educational, entertaining and just plain fun for everyone in the family. As I have said before my grandchildren love signing. They enjoyed every minute of this video twice over so far. The video features food words such as hungry, full, apple, and banana. Weather words such as wet, dry, and sun. Songs such as Silly Pizza and Rainy Day Song. The video is 56 minutes long and is suggested for ages 0-5 years.
I give the Signing Time Every Day Signs and the Mod Machine a five star rating!!
