Not Just An Ordinary Cell Phone

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Boomer Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

Being a Verizon Boomer Blogger has put me in the know when it comes to getting connected. I have learned so much about the best ways to stay connected with the newest and most advanced  technology available from Verizon Wireless.
Verizon has given me another new phone to try out. I will be sharing my thought about this phone in the coming days. I am unveiling this great phone today on my blog. I hope you take a minute to watch the unveiling of the product. The clip runs less than a minute.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is an amazing phone with so many features I can't possibly cover all these wonderful features in one post.
My first impressions were of the large 5.7" screen. I love the size it will be great for skyping the grandchildren, watching movies, note taking and reading eBooks.
One of my first thought were about the camera. The 13MP camera is perfect for a grandparent, blogger or anyone who likes to use the camera on their phone. The camera features an eraser to remove photo distractions. The eraser will come in handy when a stranger shows up unexpectedly in the background of my pictures. The camera also features a drama shot that will capture every photo frame of my granddaughters while dancing in their recital.
This phone is sleek, stylish, light weight and the textured-touch back looks like leather.
I placed my three phones together to compare the size.

Galaxy S3     Samsung Galaxy Note 3    Droid Raxr Maxx HD
I feel the size of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is perfect for me. It is just a little larger than the GS3. The large screen is great for my e-reader. It is lighter than the Droid Razr Maxx HD. This will make it comfortable to hold with my arthritic fingers.
What do you think of the screen size? What is your favorite cell phone feature?

  1. I've heard great things about this phone, but I am under contract with Verizon for a while still. Bummer.

  2. I love that it comes with an eraser to get rid of photo distractions. One off thing can just deflect what you're trying to say with a pic, right? Thanks for sharing!

  3. I think bigger phones are starting to become the in thing! My sister in law had a Note 2 and she loved it! I thought it was huge, but she loved it! I'm interested to hold the Note 3 and see what I think!

  7. I am hoping I do not need a new phone for a long time. I have the iPhone 4s and it is the perfect size, the new ones are just too big. I always carry mine in my pocket and women's pockets are small, I will go back to a plain phone if I mine breaks at this point.

  11. I love Samsung phones. Unfortunately I have Sprint and just got my S4 not too long ago. By the time I'm ready to upgrade there'll be a newer version of something. :)

  12. My father-in-law has vision issues and currently has an iPhone, but the screen on this one looks like it would be more beneficial for him than the phone he currently has. I'm definitely going to bring it up so he can consider some other options when his contract is up and he can get a new phone!

  16. Love the eraser and that you have an easy way to take photos of the little ones. As you said, as a grandparent, you are always taking photos!

  17. I have to say that I've looked at the size of the Galaxy phones and thought it was a little bit excessive. Thanks for your opinions on them. It helps to see how the size can be useful.
