Juppy Baby Walker

Grandma Bonnie's Closet has been given the opportunity to review the Juppy Baby Walker. I have been wanting to try a baby walker since I read about them.

Take a look at Little Roo's face and you can tell how much fun this Juppy Baby Walker is to use. I am so impressed how easy it is to use. Even Papa can help baby learn to walk.
This baby walker can be personalized with baby's name. It also comes with a carrying bag. It is easy to clean by hand or machine. One-size fits all.
The stitching is neat and the closure is a strong zipper with a Velcro closure looped through a ring for great size adjustment.

Check out The Juppy baby walker on Facebook.

Disclosure:  I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Baby Brezza Review

The Baby Brezza is a one step baby food maker that every mom should have on hand. I was so thrilled when asked to review the Baby Brezza.  I have always made my own baby food in the past. I had a small baby food grinder when my children were babies that I used to make baby food from the foods I had prepared for the family. When my grandchildren came along I did the same for them. I would boil or steam some vegetables and puree with my blender. I believe baby food should be fresh and as unprocessed as possible. The only way to be sure of feeding your baby the best is to make your own baby food. Busy mothers might feel they do not have the time to make their own baby food. Baby Brezza is the perfect answer to the problem of not having the time to give your baby homemade food.
Baby Brezza is a steamer and blender all in one. The simple control panel is easy to understand and use. Making baby food is as simple as cleaning your fruits and/or vegetables, dicing adding to the bowl and press a button. You have a few options with the Baby Brezza. Steam and puree, steam only, or puree only.
The first puree I made with the Baby Brezza was butternut squash and blueberries. My lovely granddaughters were right there to help with the process. They also were my taste testers. In the end we used the puree in some breakfast muffins. The baby brezza can also make smoothies and dips.

What I like most about the Baby Brezza is its BPA free, comes with baby food recipes and a feeding guide. The guide has a quick reference chart for the recommended ages to start feeding each food type. You will also find a chart with steam time for each vegetable and fruit.

Over all I found this product to be easy and fun to use. Stop by Baby Brezza to learn more about this amazing product.

Our New Blessing

We have a new grand baby! My readers, I have been missing for a few days. Well, some of you may have suspected our new grandchild has arrived. We have been so busy with our new blessing and no time for my blogging work. I must also confess I had no internet connection at the hospital. Well lets just say I am not technical savvy enough to figure how to get my smart phone hooked to their internet server. I guess smart phones are not so smart. I will stop rambling on and get to the good news.
We have a healthy grandson! Born on Saturday the 14th of July. I will leave you with some pictures. I hope you all have a great week. I will be back soon and stop over to visit each of you.
Pooh Bear is just loving his new baby brother.

My Baby Compass (Did your baby come with instructions?)

Review: My Baby Compass
By: Kathryn Thorson Gruhn, MA,CCC-SLP

This is item number 3 in my reviews for the Ultimate Baby Shower giveaway. By now I know you are looking forward to this awesome giveaway as it approaches. I am sure you are getting excited to see each of the baby and mommy products lined up for this event.
What is My Baby Compass? This is the instruction book you might have wished your baby came with. It is actually a complete guide that you can use to help your child think, speak, move & thrive. This book covers the baby's development from birth to two years.
How would I describe this book? My Baby Compass is an awesome how to manual on understanding your baby, its development and growth. You can use this book as a guide to measure you baby's development and know that your  baby is on track. If you see your baby behind in any area you will be able to address the issue with your child's doctor. Through out the pages you will find these neat little notes that will be helpful information in taking care of and understanding your baby.
Example

The checklists in chapter 3 will make it easy to keep track of each milestone the baby reaches. The lists are divided into months. Birth to 3 month, 4 to 6 months, 7 to 9 months, 10 to 12 months, 13 to 18 months and finally 19 to 24 months. The developmental milestones that are covered in the checklists are speech/language, hearing, cognitive/reasoning, physical, vision, and social/emotional.

Chapter 5 is all about age-appropriate toys and playtime. I really liked the suggestion to make a Good-to-Go Bag. This is a bag you put together to use as a tool for a fussy, afraid or uncooperative child. The bag should contain two age-appropriate toys that are new to the child. An extra of his special toy or blanket. (that would be the stuffed bear or blanket they won't part with)
Favorite snack and drink. There are a few other items on the list but you get the idea. The Good-to-Go Bag should be used only on special occasions when you want to reinforce good behavior or when the child needs distracted. There are also many safety notes in this chapter that will help playtime be safe.
Chapter 6 is about music, rhymes and learning fun. The nursery rhymes and finger plays will be helpful in remembering the words that you may have forgotten if you have not recited them since a child. I remember when my son's first child was born. He told me when my granddaughter was crying the first night he could not remember any of the nursery rhymes he sang as a child except Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. So, this book sure would have come in handy for him that night.
In the appendix 1 is a list of common words a child will have learned by the age of two.
What did I like most about this book? I really liked the Appendix 2. There are many different signs to teach baby in sign language. I believe sign language helps baby communicate even before they can talk. This helps reduce frustration for baby, mommy and grandma!!

What did I not like about this book? My only complaint! Where was this book when my babies were little? I rate this book a 5 out of 5. My Baby Compass should be on all new mothers wish lists.  If you would like to learn more or to purchase the book go here. My baby Compass is a $40 value.
Find My Baby Compass on Twitter and Facebook.
Remember if you would like an opportunity to win this book. Mark your calendar to return on April 13th for the Ultimate Baby Shower Giveaway.

Comparison Shopping for a Baby

I have a family member expecting next month. I have been trying to decide what gifts I want to purchase for this special baby. There are so many new products available for raising a baby that I have become completely frustrated. I would like to give a gift that is needed and will be used. It also has to be special not just ordinary. I started to research  and compare products. Then I had to read the reviews. I had so many pages open on my computer that you can guess what happened next! Yes, it crashed!!! All the choices and elimination process I had worked on was gone. Once I had calmed down and got my self together with a cup of tea I started all over again. Now, I started with a little more caution and this is the part I want to share. I found this awesome website that allows you to comparison shop, read reviews and research products all from the same site. There are millions of products and thousands of retailers to choose from. I am not going to show you the specific items I choose to buy because our new mommy does read my blog from time to time. First, mommy wanted some blue and black baby bedding. That was an easy choice for me. Then I wanted to find a special crib toy. Boy oh boy are there oodles of crib toys to choose from. Babies are very picky about toys. As moms find out all to soon many toys just sit and never get played with. I do not want that to happen to the toy I picked. After looking at the reviews for crib toys I picked out a fun looking crib activity board.  Last, I wanted to find a very special gift for mommy. I checked out about 50 diaper bags. Yes, I am picky. I came across these juicy couture diaper bags. I learned quickly they are a style choice many young moms prefer. Then I found the juicy couture diaper bags average price. From there I eliminated the small bags and did my picking from the remaining list. I really enjoyed this shopping experience right from my chair at home.
