First Day of The 21 Day Weight Loss Challenge

My friends as promised I have started the 21 day challenge today! I will be following the program by Dustin Maher the author of the book Fit Moms For Life.
So, here we go I jumped right in with both feet. The basic rules are to set my goals, keep a food journal (eat healthy), and exercise.  Here are my goals: lose 5lbs, eat more healthy, and work on my flexibility. I did take measurements and before photos but, as you all know I do not post photos of myself only my grandchildren. (Perhaps I will post one later this week with out my face if grandpa will approve that. lol!)
I started working out three days ago and I am sore, sore, and sore. I have decided to alternate between cardio and strength training every other day. There is also the core part of training that I plan to do daily. I am being careful with the exercises and not over doing it. Today, I had a little difficulty with the my strength training since I was watching Pooh Bear and he decided that grandma was not allowed to exercise. I imagine he will get used to this change and maybe even try to join me if I pretend I am having fun, fun, fun. The down side of today. I had 3 diet cokes today. I am addicted. I also need the caffeine to keep up with Pooh Bear. As I get older my grandchildren seem to run circles around me. After this program I might be able to keep up with them.
If you would like to join the next 21 day challenge please contact Grandma Bonnie's Closet for more information..

  1. Starting an exercise program is the hardest part. I hope Pooh Bear lets you exercise - Bubby always has fun when I exercise. He tries to do the stretches and everything!
