Hair Styling Protection

I color my hair about every 3 months. I have been doing this for a long time. My hair has become dry and a little dull. When I was given the opportunity to review this ANTIOXIDANT Leave in Protectant by Shielo I jumped right in. This hair spray is made to protect color treated hair from styling instruments, the environment and UV light. It is great for eliminating frizz and leaves hair feeling soft. It is Paraben free and made with organic extracts. This is a list of the key ingredients straight from the website.

"UV Protectants and natural antioxidants from White Tea enhance color protection. Shea Butter adds a protective moisture barrier to seal the hair shaft. Wheat Crosspolymer creates an invisible safety net around each hair to shield color, increase flexibility and reduce breakage." My hair needs all this help.

I used the ANTIOXIDANT Leave in Protectant for over a week. So far and I really like the result. I am always worried about hair sprays leaving my hair stiff or sticky. This spray left my hair soft and easy to brush. Before I used this spray I checked out the scent. It is important that any product I use not bother my asthma. The scent was strong for a few minutes and it left me thinking of coconut. I am not saying it smells like coconut but it was a very similar scent. The most important result it did not bother my breathing at all.

What did I like about the product? I like that it is made with organic extracts, not sticky and made in the USA. I like the product enough to continue using it regularly.
What did I not like about the product? Nothing comes to mind. It's a great styling product.

Review: Christian Wristband

I recently received a Christian Silicone Wristband to review. When I received the package I was about to put the band on and try it out when Pooh Bear snatched it away from me. I tried my hardest to get him to give it back to me. I even tried to bribe him. Cookies, stories, and even games Pooh Bear had claimed the bracelet before I could enjoy it. First off he tried it on his wrist. He looked it over while turning his back to me. I decided the best approach would be to ignore him until he forgot about it. I went about my business all the while I watched him from the corner of my eye. I saw him slip the band on his ankle. I started to get impatient. Now, I decided to make do with getting a picture of him wearing the wrist band. That should be cute. Ha ha, grandma and a camera are not a match for our 2 year old Pooh Bear.

I did not know a camera could do that.

What a little stinker he can be. I took over 50 photos while he played around the house. Not one was good enough to show you the wrist band. patience is a virtue. That is something I have. I followed him around with the camera for a couple of hours. He really hates his picture being taken so he ran around non stop. In the end the poor little guy was tuckered out.
And there it is folks.

I was able to sneak the wrist band off and try it on myself while he took his rare but welcome nap.

I think it is great. The wrist band is stretch to fit. It is very comfortable to wear and it makes a clear statement. I am happy to say this is a nice way to say I believe in God. I like the color. Pink is one of my favorite colors. I like to wear pink when I want to feel feminine. If you do not like the color pink do not worry the wrist bands come in many colors. They also have available Child of God wrist bands. You can see more Christian Wrist Bands here.

Tape, Tape and Tape!!!

Yes, sir Grandma has all kinds of tape. Shoplet.com my favorite online store for office supplies has given me three very useful tape products to review.
Let me start with Duck EZ Start Premium Packaging Tape. What can I say the brand tells me a lot about this tape. First, I do tons of package mailing. I am the family expert in wrapping packages for mailing. I like to use recycled packaging when possible. So, some of the boxes might be a little worn on the corners and need to be taped securely if expected to arrive at their destination in good shape.
This packaging tape came in a package with three rolls and two dispensers. Nice for me. I will leave one at home and keep one with me when I travel. The tape meets U.S. Postal Regulations. The special adhesive on the tape makes it frustration free eliminating splitting and tearing when restarting the roll.

I started out taping a box I packed for my granddaughters Easter gifts. The tape and dispenser roll easily. I like the sharp cutting tool on the end of the dispenser. No torn or tangled mess. I was able to tape the entire package with out any splitting or tearing of the tape.
It is most important to have tape that sticks well and does not wrinkle up and stick to itself. Using this dispenser I did not have any trouble at all. As you can see by the corner of this box the tape stuck well and did not wrinkle up.
I took the roll out of the dispenser to see how easy it was to reload. I have on occasion tried to refill a tape dispenser only to have the dispenser break or be hard to reload. Well, I had no problems with this baby. It opened easily and was no trouble to refill.
Do I have any complaints about this product? No, I had no problems while wrapping my package for shipping. I am very happy with its ease of use.
On to the next product, Duck EZ Start Premium Packaging Tape w/ Dispenser. This might turn out to be my favorite tape. I love the dispenser. The tape and dispenser are not bulky. It is easy to hold and roll with one hand. I have a touch of arthritis in my hands and believe me when I tell you this tape and dispenser is going to be perfect for the days when my fingers are stiff and sore. I tested this tape on a small package I will be sending to grandpa later this week.

This is the underside. You can see the white roller near the cutting blade. The roller helps to smooth the tape onto the package. I really like this feature.
The tape rolled easily and I had no problems with tearing or splitting. I am keeping this dispenser for my self. I won't be sharing this with the family. Frustration free is the perfect description for this product.  Do I have any complaints about this product? Hmm, maybe the dispenser could come in color choices. I would love to have a pink one.
This tape review would not be complete with out this last tape product! Zebra Printed Duck Tape has become Pooh Bears favorite right out of the box. Pooh Bear actually claimed the roll and would not let it go until I promised I would make him a zebra. You will see that later.

I can't begin to describe all the projects I have plannedfor this awesome tape. First and foremost it is just perfect for all sorts of repairs around the house and farm. Second, duct tape is the ultimate crafters dream tape. This tape is made for tearing with your hands. It is strong durable and conforms to uneven surfaces.

My friends do you think I can make a zebra from a tp tube?  I have got to try or Pooh Bear is going to badger me until the days end.

Grrrr. The tape split. That usually does not happen unless you have a two year old grandson hanging around your neck while you are making a zebra.

Peace at last. Now, let me see what I can do with this lovely Zebra Print.

You have got to love this print!!

My daughter in law is going to love her present. The bow is reusable. I even made a matching mini card. Do I have any complaints about this tape? No, no and no. I can't think of any complaints.

Disclosure:
I received the above mentioned products to review from Shoplet.com in exchange for an honest review. No monetary compensation was received.

Rock N Learn

I have got to say Rock N Learn DVDs are great learning tools! No doubt about it I am making this a must for each of my grandchildren. I am a stickler when it comes to TV programs in our house. If it is a cartoon it had better be educational. I have learned many years ago not all educational shows teach. If you have ever tried to get a toddler to sit for a few minutes and watch a learning DVD you undoubtedly know what I am talking about. The content in the show must be lively and entertaining all within the first minute. This is why I like Rock N Learn DVDs so much. The DVD makes learning fun and entertaining. The music is very entertaining and memorable.  Remembering the words to a lively tune is what preschoolers and young children do best!
The DVD title I am reviewing is: Letter Sounds.
Ages 4-7
Length: 62 minutes

The program reviews the upper and lower case letters and the corresponding sound the letters make. There are a couple games children can play along with. Pooh Bear loved trying the game Name That Letter! He had a lot of help from mommy and enjoyed this family activity. What I liked most about this DVD is the on-screen mouth that shows how to form the sounds correctly. What I love about the DVD is the game show format for teaching and reviewing. I recommend playing as a family and making it fun for your preschooler to learn and play at the same time.
Check out the video clip here.

Pinterest And Your Business

Ebook Review
Title: The Quick and Easy Guide to Branding Your Business and Creating Massive Sales with Pinterest
Author: Kim Garst

Why did I chose to review this book?
I am interested in learning how to use Pinterest to the best advantage for my Etsy shop and my blog.

Book content: This easy guide explains what Pinterest is and how it can be used as a social media platform for your business. You will find explanations on board organization and a strategy for naming your boards. There is also a section for online marketing and direct customer engagement. One topic I really liked was is Pinterest right for your business. The details explain when Pinterest might not work well for certain business. The detailed planing steps in this book are extensive and cover a wide range of topics. You will certainly learn something new about using Pinterest to strengthen your business and brand.

What did I get out of The Quick and Easy Guide to Branding Your Business and Creating Massive Sales with Pinterest? I learned a lot about how to arrange my boards to strategically engage my followers. I also learned how to create my own theme boards to create greater traffic and repins.

A sneak peak: a quote straight for the book, "Build At Least 8 Boards with 9 Pins Each." Of course you ask,"Why 8 Boards and 9 Pins?" or "Don't create an empty board until you have images to put in it." Hmm, you might want to purchase this book on Amazon here to find out Why!
