When I received the book Naughty Makeovers For Nice Girls I took one look at the book and thought out loud, "Oh dear what did I get myself into?" I am not sure what attracted me to the book title. I guess you can say curiosity got a hold of me. Book Review: Naughty Makeovers For Nice Girls by Dimitri James a Beauty Maestro and Founder of Skinn Cosmetics.
This self help book has ten very interesting chapters. This book has lots of great advise and tips on dressing a little sexy with out looking trashy. I found chapter one, Getting Started to be crammed full of great tips in making a beauty plan, wearing makeup, choosing colors for your skin tone, and hair care. There is so much in this chapter I had to read it twice. I even highlighted a few parts for reminders.
A tip from Chapter One. "Bags bring attention to where ever they fall. If you have big hips, don't wear a hip length shoulder bag. If you have a full bust, don't carry a clutch under your arm.If you have a small waist, let the bag call attention to that area of your body."
Let's jump to chapter ten, Yummy Mommy. This chapter gives you lots of advise and tips on how to keep looking your best even while being a busy mom.
A shopping tip from chapter ten. When you are shopping ask several questions. "Can I bend over in this to pick up my son without showing the world my business?" "Can I carry my 20 pound son wearing these wedges without breaking my ankle?"
Through out the book you will find tips for looking beautiful and sexy (without looking trashy) at work, play, and home.
Over all I liked this book and found it to be very informative. The practical tips and advise can go a long way in the hands of any woman young or old.
