A Little Bit Of Everything

I have been slacking on my blog these days. I thought a little update on what I have been up to might be in order. So, we have had this stray rooster hanging around our home for a couple months now. Well, I am not sure I should call it a stray as we do know where it came from. The neighbors two doors down moved away and did not take their rooster with them. some new owners have since moved in to the home but I am guessing they don't think the rooster belongs to them. He has been hungry so I have been feeding him and he has decide to adopt us as his new family. The cats and dogs have no problem with him hanging around. It is kind of funny to see them interact.

We took a trip over Thanksgiving to see our grandsons Pooh Bear and Little Roo. We even took Scooby with us. I had never taken a dog on such a long ride before. Scooby behaved great. We will probably take him on lots of future trips considering how much he enjoyed the trip.
I placed a sheet over the back seat and blocked the space between the seats so he could not get into the front seat. It work well and no dog hair was left on the seats or our clothing.
My grandsons made  a ginger bread house. That was so much fun. While Pooh Bear glued the house together with icing Little Roo snatched a wall and started munching on it. It was so hilarious.  My daughter and I were laughing so hard as Pooh Bear was trying to build the house with parts that had little bites from them. I caught a cute photo when Pooh Bear thought no one was watching. Who could blame him for tasting the icing it must have been hard to resist the temptation. Lol, they were so much fun.
Any how we have gotten our share of snow and maybe someone Else's share of snow you might agree. I just hope by morning it has stopped so I might be able to get to my Christmas tree in the storage shed. I can not for the life of me remember why I decided to store it in the shed this year. I did that about ten years ago and had a hard time getting to it. So after that I have always stored it in our house. One forgets many things as we get older. So this is the first year in many that I do not have my tree up the day after Thanksgiving.

Our New Blessing

We have a new grand baby! My readers, I have been missing for a few days. Well, some of you may have suspected our new grandchild has arrived. We have been so busy with our new blessing and no time for my blogging work. I must also confess I had no internet connection at the hospital. Well lets just say I am not technical savvy enough to figure how to get my smart phone hooked to their internet server. I guess smart phones are not so smart. I will stop rambling on and get to the good news.
We have a healthy grandson! Born on Saturday the 14th of July. I will leave you with some pictures. I hope you all have a great week. I will be back soon and stop over to visit each of you.
Pooh Bear is just loving his new baby brother.

We Are Back!!

Our trip was wonderful, short and hard all rolled into one. First off we left on Friday early before the sun came up. Pooh Bear was not happy to wake up this early and was just a bit crabby. Once he remembered we were going to grandpas he instantly was wide awake and begging to put his shoes and coat on.
We had to stop often as usual. Pooh Bear still has motion sickness so we have found that stopping often about every hour prevents disaster!!! While traveling to see grandpa Pooh Bear did not eat much the whole ride. I believe his little tummy was not too happy. Traveling back seemed to be much better. He was able to eat some fruit and cheese. I got some pictures of Pooh Bear and Little Bug playing together. They played shopping and cooking for hours on end. The shopping cart and plastic play food was one of the best toy investments I have made this year. Cheap, long lasting imaginative play. Please forgive me for the blurry photos. I took over 50 pictures and most were just a blur so I am posting the best.

I hope you have a great week.

Meet Nuff, and No Nuff

Pooh Bear owns many stuffed animals and he loves them all but, he has not named any of his stuffed animals and has not shown preference over any one particular animal until a weekend trip to visit grandpa and grandmas.
One weekend while we were traveling with Pooh Bear he wanted to play a crane machine at one of the many rest areas we stopped at. Normally we let him pretend to play without putting in coins. This time I gave him some quarters to play with. He has never won anything from the machines before so he was surprised and amazed that the machine gave him something. Ever since he got the little green bear he has not left it out of his sight. This bear has become his most prized possession. My grandson gave his bear the name Nuff.

Nuff
I mentioned in a previous post that Pooh Bear has motion sickness when we travel. This weekend we traveled again to visit grandpa and grandma. We were able to avoid the vomiting (by stopping every 30 minutes) except for one time. The one episode got precious Nuff covered in vomit. Pooh Bear was so upset we had to find a quick replacement at the next rest area. We let Pooh Bear pick out a stuffed animal to temporarily replace Nuff. We figured it would be hopeless as the boy has too many stuffed animals to count, and non of them has ever came close to competing with Nuff. We were wrong! The second he saw this little guy he shouted out No Nuff. Pooh Bear has not let No Nuff out of his sight. When Nuff was all nice and clean, Pooh Bear squealed with delight. He now takes Nuff and No Nuff everywhere he goes.
